Bhubaneswar: A highly efficient four-colour 29-inch sheetfed offset printing press was inaugurated at the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University Press on Wednesday.
The new machine, a Komori Enthrone G-29, was officially launched by the university’s Founder President, Professor (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak.
Komori is a prominent Japanese manufacturer that specializes in precision printing equipment. The addition of this advanced machinery represents a major upgrade to the university’s in-house printing capabilities.
According to Shri Sanjeeb Patnaik, the Manager of the Press, the newly installed equipment is capable of delivering high-quality four-colour printing at a speed of 13,000 sheets per hour.
He noted that this high rate of production will be deeply beneficial in meeting the diverse and high-volume printing requirements of the educational institution.
The press will be primary utilized to produce academic journals, university books, informational brochures, regular news bulletins, annual calendars, and various other official institutional materials.
