Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, chaired a high-level meeting with all District Collectors today at the Lok Seva Bhawan conference hall in Bhubaneswar.
The meeting, attended by Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh along with departmental secretaries, focused on reviewing the progress of various social sector initiatives and monitoring systems.
A primary focus was the implementation of CM-Sampada, a platform designed to monitor developmental works and basic amenities in mining-affected areas. The Chief Secretary emphasized the use of District Mineral Foundation funds to improve healthcare, education, and infrastructure in these regions.
Additionally, the progress of various irrigation censuses, including the state’s first-ever spring census, was reviewed. The deadline for the spring census has been extended to May 31, 2026, to ensure the collection of quality data for groundwater management.
In the health sector, Collectors were directed to strengthen monitoring systems to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates and ensure strict adherence to medical guidelines. The meeting also highlighted the need to expedite the distribution of cards under the Ayushman Bharat
Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Vayo Vandana schemes. The Prayas initiative, a technology-driven monitoring platform, was discussed as a key tool for tracking outcomes in health, nutrition, education, and sanitation.
Regarding school and mass education, officials were instructed to complete the distribution of school uniforms before the commencement of summer vacations.
Collectors were also tasked with identifying and repairing unsafe school buildings to ensure student safety. For women and child development, the meeting stressed the accurate updating of nutrition data in the Poshan Tracker and the installation of CCTV units in Self-Help Group units to monitor Take Home Ration processes. Finally, instructions were issued to expedite the verification of pending applications on the Subhadra portal through field visits.
