Sarangi Leads Women Empowerment March

Bhubaneswar; Capital City is witnessing a historic transformation in women leadership as Shrimati Aparajita Sarangi, the Member of Parliament for Bhubaneswar, spearheads a movement to redefine the role of women in Indian society.

Inspired by the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Shrimati Sarangi is championing a shift where women move beyond being mere beneficiaries of government schemes to becoming active architects of national policy.

This mission was recently showcased during a massive padayatra in the Capital City of Odisha, where thousands of women gathered to support the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, signaling a new era of political empowerment.

The legislative push for 33 percent reservation in the Parliament and State Assemblies serves as the cornerstone of this movement. Shrimati Sarangi emphasizes that with women comprising nearly half of the population, their presence in decision making roles is not just a matter of equity but a necessity for the nation’s progress.

She credits the Prime Minister for laying a decade worth of groundwork through initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the Ujjwala Yojana, and the Matru Vandana Yojana, which have collectively enhanced the health, education, and financial security of women across the country.

Data reflects the success of these foundational efforts, with girls’ secondary education enrollment crossing 70 percent and over 4.2 crore women securing their futures through the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.

Shrimati Sarangi points out that these social and economic gains have prepared women to take on the responsibility of governance. By ensuring that women have a protected voice in the legislative process, the government is ensuring that the development of India is driven by the perspectives and lived experiences of its female citizens.

Looking toward the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Shrimati Sarangi remains a steadfast advocate for the dignity and independence of every woman. Her leadership in Odisha serves as a bridge between grassroots needs and national policy, reflecting a commitment to a future where women lead from the front.

Through her efforts and the ongoing implementation of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, the narrative of women in India is being rewritten from one of silent contribution to one of powerful, systemic leadership.
