Cooperative Leaders Join BJP

Bhubaneswar: On Utkal Diwas, the Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha witnessed a significant expansion as numerous high-profile leaders from the state cooperative sector officially joined the party.

The induction ceremony took place at the state headquarters in Bhubaneswar, where Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Minister Co-operation, Shri Pradeep Bal Samanta and State President Shri Manmohan Samal welcomed the new members with party caps and scarves.

The list of prominent figures joining the BJP includes T. Prasad Rao Dora, Chairman of the Odisha State Cooperative Bank, and Shrimati Prabhasini Sarangi, President of the Odisha State Cooperative Union.

Other notable inductees include Shri Mahendra Kumar Nayak of the Urban Bank Federation, Shrimati Swadhinabala Das of the Odisha Women’s Development Cooperative Corporation, and the Heads of several State organizations such as Boyanika, Utkalika, Fishfed, Opolfed, Omfed, and TDCC.

During the event, State President Shri Manmohan Samal emphasized that the BJP is a worker-based organization driven by nationalist ideology. He noted that the cooperative movement is growing stronger under the current administration, which aims to empower ordinary citizens and improve their financial stability.

Shri Samal stated that the integration of these leaders would bolster the party’s strength in the cooperative sector and help fulfill the vision of a developed India by 2047 and a prosperous Odisha by 2036.

The gathering also saw the participation of several key political figures, including State Cooperative Minister Shri Pradeep Bal Samanta, Chief Whip Shri Saroj Pradhan, and various MLAs and senior party leaders.

Hundreds of Directors and members from various agricultural and credit cooperative societies across the state, including those from Jajpur, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Ganjam, and Bhubaneswar, also joined the party during this mass induction
