State Clears 23 Projects

Bhubaneswar: State Government has approved 23 industrial investment proposals totaling 4,510.65 crore across 11 districts. Chaired by Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg, the 145th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority approved these projects, which are projected to create 10,122 employment opportunities.

ACS Home, Industries and I&PR Shri Hemant Sharma outlined details. The initiatives span diverse sectors including wood-based industries, chemicals, apparel, pharmaceuticals, and IT services.

Major projects include a 870.82 crore wood-based manufacturing facility by Century Plyboards in Koraput and a 610 crore expansion by Siddhiriddhi International in Keonjhar. The chemical sector will see a new sulphuric acid plant by Paradeep Phosphates in Jagatsinghpur valued at 425 crore and a 61 crore investment from Pidilite Industries in Balasore. In the food processing sector, Coastal Biotech will invest 350 crore in Kalahandi, while the gems and jewellery sector will benefit from a 243.50 crore expansion by Nuvo Aeon Diamond and Jewellery in Khordha.

The apparel and technical textiles sector will receive a combined investment of 310 crore from Sonaselection India and Alphatex in Khordha. Other notable approvals include a 236.90 crore pharmaceutical unit by Alteus Life in Cuttack, a 174.10 crore logistics park by Chalah Infratech in Sambalpur, and a 164 crore agricultural equipment facility by Nipha Limited in Khordha. Additionally, PricewaterhouseCoopers Services will establish a 60 crore technology delivery centre, and Navprakriti Green Energies will invest 105 crore in a metal extraction facility.

These approvals align with the Purvodaya vision to establish Eastern India as a growth engine and support the goal of Viksit Odisha 2036. The state continues to utilize its Single Window Clearance mechanism to ensure time-bound approvals and streamline the investment process for global and domestic investors.
