Paradip: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a high-level review of major industrial projects today at Paradeep Nehru Bangla, marking a significant step toward transforming the region into a premier economic zone.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that Paradeep is poised to become one of the country’s largest economic hubs and directed officials to ensure the timely commencement and execution of all infrastructure and industrial initiatives.

The review focused on several large-scale projects, including the expansion of Paradeep Port, the development of shipbuilding and repair facilities, and the progress of industrial units led by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and JSW.

Deliberations also covered the strategic Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradip Economic Region, integrated steel plants, and the proposed projects by AMNS India.

Key administrative and political figures attended the session, including Industries Minister Shri Sampad Swain and Jagatsinghpur MLA Shri Amarendra Das.

Senior officials present included Additional Chief Secretary (Home, Industries, and I&PR) Shri Hemant Sharma, IDCO Managing Director Prasanth Reddy, and Jagatsinghpur Collector Shri J Sonal, alongside representatives from major industrial houses and the Paradeep Port Authority.

A central theme of the discussion was the resolution of pending land acquisition issues and the acceleration of necessary clearances to avoid project delays.

The Chief Minister issued a clear directive to prioritize employment for the youth of Odisha, particularly those from local communities, ensuring that industrial growth translates into direct benefits for the people of the state.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to “Viksit Odisha 2036,” focusing on the petrochemical complex and port-based development as core drivers of the state’s economic transformation.
