Bhubaneswar: In a significant medical development, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Shri Suresh Pujari has been moved to AIIMS New Delhi to receive specialized cardiac care.
The transition follows his initial emergency admission to AIIMS Bhubaneswar earlier this week after he experienced acute chest pain and breathing difficulties at his official residence.
Clinical evaluations at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, including an angiography, revealed that the minister is suffering from Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) accompanied by Triple Vessel Disease (TVD).
While medical teams in Odisha managed to stabilize his condition within the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CTV ICU), the decision to move him to the national capital was made to leverage advanced interventions and long-term management strategies for his heart condition.
Medical history indicates that the senior saffron leader had previously undergone a cardiac procedure involving a stent, making this latest episode a matter of close monitoring for healthcare professionals.
Currently, he is under the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists and surgeons at AIIMS New Delhi. His vital signs are reported to be stable, and he remains under observation as doctors determine the next phase of his treatment plan, which may include further surgical or non-invasive procedures to address the arterial blockages.
