Odisha OKs 31 Industrial Projects

Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to bolster industrial growth in Odisha, the Land Allotment Committee (LAC) recently approved land allocation for 31 long-pending industrial projects.

The meeting, held at IDCO Towers in Bhubaneswar, was chaired by Smt. Usha Padhee, Chairperson of IDCO. This decision is viewed as a critical step toward accelerating investment and is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities across various sectors in the State.

The approved projects represent a diverse range of industries, with a notable focus on the MSME sector. Other sectors receiving approvals include apparel and textiles, food processing, and engineering.

In an effort to ensure inclusive and balanced regional development, the committee prioritized projects located in non-industrial and backward districts, including Koraput, Kalahandi, and Rayagada.

Several high-ranking officials participated in the deliberations, including Shri D. Prasanth Kumar Reddy, Managing Director of IDCO; Shri Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Managing Director of IPICOL; Smt.Aboli Sunil Naravane, Director of Industries; and Shri Kaustuva Dipta Pany, Executive Director of OCAC.

The committee emphasized its dedication to maintaining transparent processes and making time-bound decisions to improve investor confidence and foster distributed economic growth across the region.
