Bhubaneswar: The 144th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, recently approved 23 industrial investment proposals. These projects represent a total investment of 4111.80 crore and are expected to generate 9924 new employment opportunities across the state.
Development Commissioner Shri Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, ACS Home, Industries Shri Hemant Sharma, ACS Energy and E&IT Shri Vishal Dev and other senior officers were present.
The approved projects cover an impressively diverse array of sectors, highlighting Odisha’s transition toward a multi-faceted industrial strategy. The sectors include aerospace and defense, shipbuilding, textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and tourism. These investments will be distributed across eleven districts, including Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Debagarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh, supporting the government’s goal of regionally balanced development.
In the technology and defence sectors, Inventgrid India Private Limited will establish an Advanced Multi-Drone Manufacturing Centre in Ganjam with a 300 crore investment, creating 1000 jobs. The maritime sector will see a boost in Bhadrak through Northern Express Infradevelopers Private Limited, which plans to develop a shipbuilding and repair facility. In the apparel sector, J.G. Hosiery Private Limited will set up a large-scale manufacturing unit in Khordha, which is expected to be one of the largest job creators in this round with 2350 positions.
Heavy industry and mineral processing also feature prominently in the approvals. Kalinga Metalics Limited and Rashmi Metallurgical Industry Private Limited are set to establish significant iron ore beneficiation plants in Sundargarh. Meanwhile, the capital goods sector will see Nipha Limited establish a railway component manufacturing plant in Khordha with an investment of 384 crore.
The state’s tourism and hospitality infrastructure will be further strengthened by four new hotel projects. These include 5-star developments by MK Assets Private Limited in Khordha and Manjeera Hotels and Resorts in Puri, along with 4-star facilities in Puri and Sambalpur. Other notable projects include a 387 crore plastic-based products facility by Water Tech India Private Limited in Ganjam and various chemical and pharmaceutical units in Cuttack and Khordha.
These approvals underscore the effectiveness of Odisha’s Single Window system in facilitating a seamless business environment. By prioritizing sectors that range from traditional manufacturing to high-end services and advanced technology, the state is working toward the long-term vision of Samruddha Odisha 2036. This latest round of clearances reaffirms Odisha’s status as a leading investment destination in Eastern India, focused on sustainable, employment-led growth.
