Bolangir: Jarasingha Netrabhanu High School in Bolangir recently marked a historic milestone, celebrating its 75th anniversary with a grand commemorative event. The platinum jubilee celebration brought together a distinguished assembly of leaders and intellectuals to honor the institution’s long-standing contribution to the educational landscape of the region.
Shri Laxman Kumar Meher, the committee president, presided over the formal proceedings on stage. The event featured several high-profile guests, including Nayagarh MLA Dr. Arun Kumar Sahu and former MP as well as prominent news editor Shri Soumyaranjan Pattnaik. However, much of the local attention centered on the presence of Bolangir MLA Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, whose involvement underscored his deep-rooted commitment to the constituency.
Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo has emerged as a pivotal figure in the development of Bolangir. His leadership style is characterized by a focus on modernizing infrastructure while preserving the cultural heritage of the area. During the anniversary celebrations, speakers highlighted his efforts to bridge the gap between traditional community values and the requirements of a rapidly evolving economy. His influence, however, extends well beyond the borders of Bolangir. As a prominent voice for Western Odisha, Shri Singh Deo has consistently advocated for regional equity, seeking to ensure that the hinterlands receive adequate attention in terms of industrial growth, water management, and higher education.
His strategic vision for Western Odisha involves leveraging the region’s natural resources and human capital to foster a more self-reliant local economy. By participating in the milestone anniversary of Jarasingha Netrabhanu High School, Shri Singh Deo reaffirmed his belief that the foundation of regional progress lies in strengthening its educational institutions. The event served not only as a reflection on the school’s 75-year journey but also as a platform for regional leaders to discuss the future trajectory of Bolangir and the broader Western Odisha belt under proactive governance.
