Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, hosted a high-level delegation of trainee officers from the National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, at the Lok Seva Bhawan today as part of their institutional study tour.
This diverse group included senior personnel from the Indian Armed Forces as well as military officers from partner nations such as Armenia, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, and Nepal, highlighting the strategic importance of the visit to the state.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister emphasized that for the state administration, the nation represents the highest priority through national service. He noted that the spirit of dedication seen in military officers is deeply aligned with this governance philosophy.
Highlighting the achievements of the Indian Armed Forces, the Chief Minister specifically praised the courage and bravery displayed during Operation Sindhu, stating that such missions are a testament to the discipline and selfless service of the forces.
Addressing the delegation, the Chief Minister spoke about the historical legacy of Odisha’s valor while detailing the state’s modern transformation. He highlighted how Odisha has established a unique identity across India in sectors such as industry, infrastructure, education, sports, and disaster management. The visiting international officers engaged in discussions with the Chief Minister and expressed their appreciation for the rapid pace of development observed across various sectors in the state.
The meeting was attended by Air Marshal Manish Kumar Gupta, Major General CP Sangra, Advisor to the Chief Minister Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Saswat Mishra, and other senior military and state officials.
