Bhubaneswar: On the auspicious occasion of the 77th Republic Day, a grand At-Home reception was hosted by the Governor, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, at the Lok Bhavan on the afternoon of January 26, 2026.
The event served as a vibrant gathering of distinguished personalities from various walks of life who joined the celebrations at the Governor’s invitation.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the First Lady of the State, Smt. Jayasree Kambhampati, along with the Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. Other high-ranking dignitaries in attendance included the Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court, Justice Shri Harish Tandon, the Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Shrimati Surama Padhy, the Deputy Chief Minister, Shrimati Pravati Parida, and Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, Shri Suresh Pujari.
Advisor to Chief Minister, Shri Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Shrimati Anu Garg, DGP Shri Y B Khurania, Development Commissioner, Shri Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh others graced the occasion. Secretary To Governor Shrimati Roopa Rosahn Sahoo coordinated the entire program, which was organized in a flawless manner.
The guest list reflected the rich social fabric of the state, featuring Judges of the Odisha High Court, Members of the Legislative Assembly, courageous freedom fighters, and esteemed Padma Award winners.
The gathering also included senior officials of the state administration, prominent sportspersons, literary figures, artists, and representatives from the media. Notably, beneficiaries of various government schemes were also invited to share in the festivities.
Throughout the event, Governor Dr. Kambhampati moved among the guests, engaging in warm interactions and exchanging greetings with the diverse assembly.

On the morning of January 26, 2026, Shirmati Roopa Roshan Sahoo, Secretary to the Governor, unfurled the national tricolor to mark the historic occasion. The event featured a dignified guard of honor, with the police force providing the National Salute in a display of discipline and pride.
The celebration saw active participation from the officers and staff members of Lok Bhavan, who gathered to honor the constitutional foundations of the nation, said Shri Sanjeeb Barik, Public Relations Officer to the Governor.
