Odisha Leads EoDB Initiatives

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Shrimati Anu Garg chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan on Wednesday to accelerate the implementation of Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiatives in Odisha.

Development Commissioner-cum-ACS Shri Deoranjan Kumar Singh and Additional Chief Secretary for Industries Shri Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Energy and E&IT, Shri Vishal Dev, Principal Secretary Finance, Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra and other senior officers were present.

The session focused on the District Business Reform Action Plan (DBRAP) 2025, BRAP 2026, and Deregulation Phase II, stressing the importance of faster industrial growth through system integration and process re-engineering.

The meeting, attended by heads of 24 departments, highlighted the state’s commitment to creating a sustainable economic environment. Chief Secretary Smt.Garg emphasized that EoDB remains a top priority, aligning with national objectives to strengthen the investment climate. She urged departments to maintain reform momentum and focus on achieving measurable improvements in transparency and efficiency.

Key initiatives discussed included DBRAP 2025, which features 154 reform points aimed at strengthening district-level delivery for approvals and investor services.

BRAP 2026 will focus on nine core areas, emphasizing inter-departmental coordination to improve regulatory predictability. Additionally, Deregulation Phase II targets 23 priority areas to simplify regulations and promote trust-based governance.

The state reaffirmed its goal to position Odisha as a preferred destination for enterprise by institutionalizing these practices at the grassroots level.
