Cuttack: The Odisha Masters BWF Tour Super 100 was officially declared open by Secretary, Sports & Youth Services, Shri Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack.
After the successful organization of the Yonex-Sunrise 37th Sub-Junior National Badminton Championships, which concluded recently in Bhubaneswar, the state immediately transitions to another major event.
Continuing its streak as a prominent sporting destination, Odisha is now hosting the prestigious Odisha Masters 2025 – BWF Tour Super 100 tournament.
This international event, which is the fourth edition to be hosted by the state, follows closely on the heels of the Yonex-Sunrise Sub-Junior Nationals.
Shri Jadhav extended his best wishes to all the international and national participants set to compete in the prestigious badminton tournament.

Gracing the momentous inaugural occasion were several key dignitaries, including President, Odisha State Badminton Association, Shri Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, Tournament Director, Shri Venugopal Mahalingam, and Director Sports, Dr. Yedulla Vijay. Also present were Collector, Cuttack, Shri Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, and Organizing Secretary, Odisha Masters 2025, Shri Nileen Kumar.
The tournament commenced on December 9 and will run until December 14 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Cuttack. It features over 400 athletes from 22 countries, showcasing top-ranked international shuttlers competing across five categories: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
The back-to-back hosting of these major championships, including the recently concluded national-level junior event, reinforces Odisha’s growing stature on the global sports map and its commitment to fostering badminton talent.
