Bhubaneswar: A long experienced journalist Shri Ajit Kumar Dash has been appointed as the Chief Editor of The Sanchar, a leading and popular vernacular newspaper in Odisha. His appointment is expected to bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the publication.
Shri Dash’s career spans several decades across both print and electronic media, establishing him as a much-tested hand in the Odisha media landscape with extensive experience in field reporting and editing.
He began his journey in print journalism with The Sun Times, a prominent newspaper in the 1990s, and went on to work for esteemed publications including The Telegraph, Sambad, and News Of The World.
His success continued in electronic media, where he made significant contributions to channels such as STV, Kanak TV, ETV, and Nandighosh TV.
Shri Dash, known for his jovial and friendly personality, was warmly welcomed by Team Sanchar, which is headed by Editor, Shri Himanshu Bhusan Kar, an energetic and upcoming Media Promoter along with other staff members.
Journalism runs in the family, as Shri Dash is the son of Shri Sarat Dash, a respected veteran journalist who headed the Press Trust Of India (PTI) Odisha Bureau for long years.
