Bengaluru: “Odisha Parab,” a three-day cultural and tourism festival, opened by Deputy Chief Minister Shrimati Pravati Parida in Bengaluru on November 15 will run until November 17 at The LaLiT Ashok.
The mega event is a vibrant showcase of Odisha’s rich heritage, art, cuisine, and tourism potential.
Dr.Bijaya Ketan Upadhyay, Secretary Odia Language, Literature and Culture is coordinating the entire Cultural Extravaganza.

In a move to highlight the state’s artistic soul, dedicated cultural troupes has been sent by the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department. The troupes are performing mesmerizing classical and folk traditions of Odisha, including Odissi, Gotipua, Chhau, and Sambalpuri dances.
These performances reflect the timeless rhythm and spirit of Odisha’s cultural legacy, offering the Bengaluru audience an immersive cultural experience.
The festival, supported by multiple state departments including the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, also features an extensive Craft and Handloom Pavilion showcasing intricate silver filigree, Pattachitra, and Sambalpuri handlooms.

Visitors can also indulge in authentic Odia cuisine, with delicacies like Dalma, Mahura Ganta, and traditional sweets curated by leading chefs. Additionally, the event includes interactive tourism showcases promoting premier destinations like Eco Retreats and Bhitarkanika, aiming to strengthen cultural and tourism ties between Odisha and Karnataka. The festival is open to the public with free entry.
