AP CM Meets Team Atmosphere

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with Souvagya Mohapatra, Managing Director (India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka operations) of Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, part of Atmosphere Core Company, to discuss boosting tourism and developing premium luxury hotel projects in the state.

The Chief Minister inquired about the progress of three projects the company currently has underway in Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, and Amaravati. Shri Mohapatra confirmed that all three luxury ventures are expected to be completed within the next three years.

Additionally, the CM explored the potential for establishing adventure resorts in the scenic Gandikota region and hill resorts in the Araku-Ananthagiri area. Atmosphere Core expressed strong interest in constructing world-class resorts at Rishikonda, highlighting the region’s appeal.

The meeting underscores the Andhra Pradesh government’s ambitious drive to transform the state into a world-class tourism hub. The state has been actively seeking major investments, recently securing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 103 companies for tourism projects worth over ₹10,644 crore. The government is also aiming to increase its hotel room inventory to 50,000 by 2029.

Shri Pradipta Mohapatra, Vice President of Atmosphere Core, commented after the meeting, “It was absolutely a pleasure to meet and interact with the visionary leader Hon’ble CM of AP Shri N Chandrababu Naidu.
