DG Rastogi Leads NAI Integrity Pledge

New Delhi: The National Archives of India (NAI) thoroughly implemented the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) directives during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, focusing on a robust three-month preventive vigilance campaign.

The campaign, led by DG NAI Shri Sanjay Rastogi, was structured around five key focus areas prescribed by the CVC, aiming to foster a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.

Formal Pledge for Ethical Governance: The week commenced with Shri Sanjay Rastogi, DG, NAI, administering the Integrity Pledge to officers and staff. This central act reaffirmed the commitment of all employees to probity, transparency, and a corruption-free administration.

Capacity Building and Expert Training: A key highlight was a lecture by Shri Deepak Kumar Bist from the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) on “Various Aspects of Vigilance.”

This crucial training session was delivered in a hybrid mode, ensuring maximum participation: NAI Headquarters staff attended physically, while officers and staff from all Regional Offices (ROs) and Records Centres (RCs) joined virtually. This initiative bolstered the staff’s knowledge of vigilance procedures and ethical conduct across all NAI locations.

Implementation of CVC’s Preventive Focus: These activities were part of a broader three-month campaign addressing the CVC’s five focus areas for preventive vigilance, including the disposal of pending cases, capacity building programs, and enhancing digital transparency. NAI is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and efficient public service.
