Sarangi Emphasizes Ethical Governance

New Delhi: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) today officially commenced its observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, 2025, which runs from October 27, 2025, to November 2, 2025. The week aims to promote transparency, good governance, and ethical conduct within the public service.

The inaugural event was highlighted by a solemn ceremony where Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary of MNRE, administered the ‘Integrity Pledge’ to the Ministry’s employees.

Focusing his message on the importance of probity, Shri Sarangi led the staff in taking the pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity. The ceremony reinforced the Ministry’s commitment to maintaining a corruption-free work environment and ensuring that its operations are guided by fairness and ethical practices.

The ‘Integrity Pledge’ is a commitment by public servants to promote honesty, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of their work.

The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is an annual practice across government organizations, mandated by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), and serves as a focused period for introspection and rededication to core values of public service.

The week will feature various activities designed to enhance awareness about the role of vigilance in nation-building and good governance.
