Bhubaneswar: “UCCIL is proud to partner in making the third edition of the #StrokeMuktJeevan campaign impactful, ensuring the message of prevention reaches every corner of the state and helps secure a healthier, more productive future for all.”
Dr. Prabodh Mohanty, President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL), today underscored the critical nature of brain stroke prevention and awareness, announcing the Chamber’s commitment to the public health outreach campaign, #StrokeMuktJeevan.
“Brain Stroke is a silent killer, and the statistic that ‘1 in 4 of us will have a stroke in our lifetime’ is a chilling wake-up call that cannot be ignored,” stated Dr. Mohanty.
Dr. Mohanty highlighted the direct threat stroke poses to the industrial sector. “As the Chamber of Commerce, our duty is to secure the economic health of our region. Stroke severely impacts industries and the economy by reducing workforce productivity, resulting in the loss of skilled labour, and driving up healthcare costs. A healthy worker is a productive worker, and a healthy workforce is the backbone of a strong economy,” he asserted.
“The business community must recognize this as a critical economic issue, not just a health issue.”

Dr. Mohanty expressed UCCIL’s appreciation for joining the campaign, which is being conducted in partnership with @IFIFoundation and other key stakeholders.
“We believe that through a modifiable lifestyle and increased awareness on prevention and management, together we can be #GreaterThanStroke,” Dr. Mohanty concluded.
UCCIL Chief Dr.Mohanty, an ace philanthropist has taken up a great humanitarian effort against ‘Brain Stroke’, which is a silent killer, pointed out a former MSME Principal Secretary.
