Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has decided to hand over the investigation of the alleged Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination irregularities to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The decision comes in light of the widespread irregularities and corruption initially investigated by the Crime Branch CID, which indicated that the corruption might have extended to other states, including Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal, suggesting the involvement of an inter-state organized criminal gang.
The Chief Minister aims for a complete exposure of the corruption, ensuring that all involved criminals are brought to justice and given exemplary punishment.
Additionally, the state government is considering the establishment of a permanent commission dedicated to the selection of personnel for the police and other uniformed services.
