Jharsuguda: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Odisha, in partnership with the Government of Odisha, successfully hosted the two-day Odisha Mining Conclave 2025 and exhibition in Jharsuguda.
The event brought together over 250 prominent leaders from the industry, government, and academia to discuss the future roadmap for mining and industrial growth in the state.
Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of State for Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education in the Government of Odisha, was a key speaker.

He highlighted Odisha’s transition from a mineral-rich region to a significant global industrial hub, noting that new investments worth ₹8 lakh crore have been generated since 2024, leading to the creation of 2.5 lakh jobs.
The conclave served as a platform for visionary discussions on the state’s sustainable growth strategy. Jharsuguda MLA Shri Tankadhar Tripathy and Shri Hemant Sharma, shared their insights on the crucial topics of MSME empowerment and strengthening industrial linkages.
The deliberations were centered on creating a future for Odisha’s mining and industrial ecosystem that prioritizes innovation, investment, and inclusive growth.

The Captains of Industry, including UCCIL President and SNM Group Managing Director, Dr. Prabodh Mohanty, and SNM Group Chairman, Dr. Pradipta Mohanty, presented their constructive views, which were endorsed by the conclave.
The unified consensus reaffirmed the commitment to leveraging Odisha’s mineral wealth responsibly while fostering a robust and diversified industrial base.
