NRAI Chief Honors Shooters

New Delhi: India’s medal run at the ISSF Junior World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun in New Delhi continued today as shooter Rashmika Sahgal secured the silver medal in the Junior Women’s 10m Air Pistol event.

The medals were presented by the President of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, and NRAI Hony. Secretary, Shri M.S. Bhangle, at the prize distribution ceremony at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range.

Evelina Sheina, competing as an Individual Neutral Athlete (AIN), claimed the gold medal with a final score of 240.9. Indian shooter Sahgal finished strong to take the silver with a score of 236.1, while Fatemeh Shekari of the Islamic Republic of Iran secured the bronze with 213.8.

Rashmika Sahgal’s podium finish was a highlight for the host nation, with the NRAI leadership present to acknowledge the young shooter’s achievement. India currently tops the medal tally after two days of competition.
