Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Business and Computer Studies (IBCS), the faculty of management sciences at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA), recently hosted a two-day Faculty Development Program.
Held on August 7 and 8, the program was titled ‘Shaping the Future of Management Education Through Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation and Strategic Intelligence.’ The event aimed to equip faculty members with the latest tools and strategies for integrating AI, Machine Learning, and Strategic Intelligence into management education.
The program featured a series of expert-led sessions designed to provide actionable insights and foster interactive discussion.
- Dr. Amritanshu Panigrahi from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at ITER (SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology) delivered a talk on ‘Transformational Intelligence: A Strategic and Multidisciplinary Approach for the Digital Future.’
- Dr. Abhilash Pati, also from the same department, presented on ‘Machine Learning and Explainable AI (XAI) for Management Studies.’
The program underscored the growing importance of technology-driven education, a point emphasized by Prof. Ayasa Kanta Mohanty, Dean of IBCS, and Prof. Manoranjan Dash, Associate Dean.
The sessions were coordinated by Dr. Preeti Y. Shadangi, the FDP Coordinator, who also delivered the vote of thanks.
The program was highly interactive, promoting knowledge sharing and empowering faculty to adopt innovative approaches in both teaching and research.
