MoMA’s Swachhata Push

New Delhi: Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, chaired a crucial meeting on August 20, 2025, to review the progress of Special Campaign 5.0, Swachhata Hi Seva, and the SCDPM.

The meeting underscored the Ministry’s steadfast commitment to the vision of a cleaner India, aligning with the broader national objective of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The review focused on the Ministry’s preparedness and ongoing initiatives for the upcoming Special Campaign 5.0. This campaign is a nationwide drive to institutionalize cleanliness and reduce pendency in all government offices. The Ministry of Minority Affairs aims to set a new benchmark by undertaking comprehensive cleanliness activities, including the disposal of old files and scrap, to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.

Dr. Kumar emphasized the importance of a ‘Whole of Society’ approach, encouraging all officials and staff to participate actively in the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. This initiative, which translates to ‘Cleanliness is Service,’ promotes voluntary work for sanitation and cleanliness, particularly in high-footfall public areas.

A key highlight of the review was the assessment of progress on the Special Campaign Digital Monitoring Portal (SCDPM). The SCDPM is a digital platform used to track and monitor the progress of cleanliness and pendency reduction efforts in real-time.

By leveraging this technology, the Ministry can ensure transparency and accountability in its efforts, providing a clear picture of the achievements and areas that require more attention.

The Secretary MoMA directed officials to meticulously update the portal with the progress of various activities.

The meeting reiterated the Ministry’s resolve to not only participate in these campaigns but also to embed the principles of cleanliness and efficiency into its daily operations.

The initiatives are not just about a single campaign but are part of a continuous effort to create a healthy, productive, and modern workplace that reflects the values of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs is dedicated to strengthening the vision of a clean India, ensuring a positive impact on both its internal functioning and public spaces.
