Boudh: Minister Sports and Youth Services, Shri Surjyabanshi Suraj made a comprehensive review of the sports infrastructure and available facilities at the Boudh district stadium.
Minister Shri Suraj along with Kandhamal MP Sukanta Panigrahi, Boudh Lawmaker, Saroj Pradhan and Priyadarshi Pratyush Rath, Chairman of the Boudh Panchayat Samiti, also held discussions with members of local sports organizations and athletes to better understand their needs and challenges.
Shri Rath, popularly known as ‘Bobby’ across the district is at forefront for development of Sports in Boudh district and harping with the State Government continiously.
The visit comes at a time when the state government is taking significant steps to bolster sports infrastructure, particularly at the grassroots level. Initiatives like the development of block-level stadiums and the implementation of the CM Trophy Tournament are part of a broader strategy to strengthen sports across Odisha.
Shri Rath emphasized the need for similar large-scale sports development within the Boudh district to nurture local talent and provide them with the necessary resources.
The state’s goal is to establish itself as a global sports hub, and these efforts are seen as crucial for achieving that objective. The discussions with athletes and sports organizations highlighted the potential of the district’s youth and the importance of providing them with modern facilities and structured training programs.
The feedback received will be used to draft a plan for future sports development projects in the district.
