Guwahati: Renowned spiritual leader, author, and humanitarian Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, globally known for his profound contributions to spirituality and the life of Shirdi Sai Baba, completed a significant two-day visit to Assam. His tour was marked by the inauguration of two new spiritual centers and a visit to a pre-existing temple, bringing inspiration and spiritual guidance to countless devotees in the region.
On Friday, August 15, Dr. Satpathy inaugurated the newly constructed Shri Guru Bhagwat Tongi at Sixth Mile, VIP Road, Guwahati. The solemn ceremony included recitations of the sacred Shri Guru Bhagwat prayer, while students from the nearby Borbari Shankar Dev Sishu Niketan performed the “Pita Mata Stabak” prayer, a touching tribute to parental respect. This location holds historical significance, as Dr. Satpathy had inaugurated the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple on the same premises back in 2012.
Later that day, Dr. Satpathy also paid a visit to the Shirdi Sai Baba Spiritual and Community Centre at Kahilpara, which is managed by the Late Kailash Nath Sarma Trust, founded by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister Assam.

He was warmly received by Smt. Riniki Bhuyan Sarma and the temple trustees. Dr. Satpathy had originally consecrated this temple with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony during its inauguration in February 2021.
The spiritual journey continued on Saturday, August 16, with the inauguration of a new Shirdi Sai Baba Temple and Shri Guru Bhagwat Tongi in Puranigudam, Nagaon. Dr. Satpathy performed the Pran Pratishtha rituals for the temple deities and addressed the gathered devotees. In his address, he emphasized the timeless and simple teachings of Shirdi Sai Baba, focusing on the core values of love, devotion, and the spiritual power of the Gayatri Mantra. He acknowledged the tireless efforts of the temple trustees and specially thanked Smt. Riniki Bhuyan Sharma for her dedicated support in bringing the temple to fruition.
Dr. Satpathy’s visit to Assam is a part of his unwavering spiritual mission spanning over three decades. His guidance has led to the establishment of more than 350 Shirdi Sai Baba temples and charitable centers across the globe. His extensive body of work, including books on philosophy and the life of Shirdi Sai Baba, has been translated into multiple languages and continues to be a source of inspiration for millions of devotees worldwide.
