New Delhi: The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) celebrated Independence Day 2025 with great fervor, embracing the national themes of unity, diversity, and progress. The celebration, held at the NHIDCL headquarters, was a vibrant display of patriotism and national pride.

Dr. Krishan Kumar, Managing Director of NHIDCL, underscored the significance of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. He encouraged everyone to hoist the national flag at their homes and offices, not just as a symbol of freedom but also as a testament to the nation’s collective strength and identity.

“The Tricolor represents the dreams and aspirations of over a billion people,” Dr. Kumar said. “By participating in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga,’ we honor the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and celebrate the spirit of our democracy. It is a powerful way to show our unity and commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous India.”

NHIDCL’s crucial role in national development, particularly in connecting the country’s most remote and challenging terrains. Dr. Kumar emphasized that the corporation’s work in building strategic roads, tunnels, and bridges in regions like the Northeast, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand is a direct contribution to national progress and security.

The Central PSU is responsible for managing and maintaining a vast network of highways and is a key player in projects like the Sela Tunnel and the Zojila Tunnel, which provide all-weather connectivity to critical border areas.

The celebration at NHIDCL served as a powerful reminder of the nation’s journey and the ongoing efforts to build a future that is strong, united, and prosperous.
