Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a Partition Horrors Remembrance Day program at Jaydev Bhawan today, offering heartfelt tributes to those who lost their lives during the partition of India. The event was organized by the Indian Historical Records Committee, Odisha.

In his address, Chief Minister Majhi underscored the importance of remembering the sacrifices made during this critical period. He stated that the nation’s “glorious history, civilization, and culture” serve as an inspiration and guide.

He emphasized that the protection of our culture is essential for national security. The CM appealed to all present to convey this message to the new generation of the nation and the state. Chief Minister Shri Majhi visited a photo exhibition.

Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, Secretary of Odia Language, Literature and Culture, delivered the welcome address. The Chief Minister also officially opened the ceremony. The event serves as a solemn reminder of the tragic events of partition, aiming to ensure that the stories of its victims are not forgotten.
