Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Factories and Boilers, Odisha, is taking a proactive stance on industrial safety, as evidenced by a recent state-level training program on the safe operation of furnaces.
The event, held on August 6, brought together key officials and industry representatives to reinforce the importance of safety protocols in the state’s Iron & Steel sector.
The training was presided over by Shri Indramani Tripathy, Labour Commissioner, Odisha, who also serves as the Director of Factories and Boilers, Odisha.
His leadership is focused on ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of industrial workers and the secure operation of steam boilers. Shri Tripathy’s commitment to industrial harmony was also highlighted in a recent state-level workshop for Labour Welfare Officers, where he stressed the “prime social responsibility” of these officers to educate workers on their rights and duties, fostering a well-informed and respected workforce.
