75 Lakh Trees For PM Modi’s 75th

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to undertake a massive tree plantation drive, aiming to plant 75 lakh saplings across the state to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. The decision was announced today after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level meeting in Bhubaneswar to finalize preparations for the ambitious green initiative.

The Chief Minister emphasized the state’s commitment to environmental conservation and highlighted the symbolic significance of planting trees on such an occasion. He urged all departments and citizens to actively participate in the drive to ensure its success and contribute to a greener Odisha.

Details regarding the distribution of saplings, identification of plantation sites, and involvement of various community groups were discussed during the meeting. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to enhance the state’s forest cover and combat climate change.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, born on September 17, 1950, will turn 75 this year. This large-scale plantation drive is being planned as a significant tribute, reflecting Odisha’s dedication to both environmental sustainability and national development goals.
