Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha today announced a series of appointments and reassignments within its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, as detailed in a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.
Shri Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, IAS (RR-2005), previously Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation with additional charges, has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department. He will retain additional charge of Special Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.
Dr. Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya, IAS (RR-2009), Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, with additional charge of Director, Odisha Paribar, will now serve as Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
Shri Samarth Verma, IAS (RR-2011), formerly Director, Technical Education & Training, Odisha, Cuttack, has been appointed Director, Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar. The post of Director, Minor Minerals, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibility to an Additional Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Managing Director, Odisha Film Development Corporation.
Shri Deepankar Mohapatra, IAS (NSCS-2014), who was Ex-Director, Sports, with additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha, has now been appointed solely as Chief Executive Officer, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha. This position is declared equivalent to a Joint Secretary in the IAS Cadre of the State.
