Bhubaneswar: National Conference on Good Governance Practices, focusing on innovations in the field, held in Bhubaneswar, chaired by Dr. S.N. Tripathi, Director General of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
Dr. Tripathi opened the Session III of the National Conference on Good Governance Practicesby commending the significant advancements made by civil servants in improving public service delivery and fostering citizen-centric governance.
IIPA Chief Dr.Tripathy particularly highlighted the dynamism and fresh perspectives brought by young officers, whose notable contributions have garnered them recognition under the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration.

The conference served as a platform for various distinguished delegates to share their experiences and insights. Among them were Smt. Sanyukta Samaddar, Principal Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Ms. Vishakha Yadav, DM, Kurung Kumey, Arunachal Pradesh; Shri Durgesh Pant, Dr. Gajendra Singh, and Dr. Shashank Lingwal from UK-GAMS; Smt. Sarita Chouhan, Joint Secretary, ARPG; Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla, District Collector, Saraikela-Kharsawan; Shri Inbasekar K., DM of Kasaragod, Kerala; Shri Rajarshi Shah, Collector & DM Adilabad, Telangana; and Shri Vaheed A., Collector and DM from Dhalai, Tripura.
Smt. Sanyukta Samaddar provided a detailed presentation on Uttar Pradesh’s Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS). She elaborated on the system’s success in the state, attributing its effectiveness to strategic technological interventions. The IGRS has played a crucial role in resolving various issues, including crimes and administrative matters, as well as in efficient asset management.
The session also delved into the critical aspect of fostering development in challenging environments and terrains. Discussions emphasized strategies for progress in areas with limited resources and prevalent challenges such as natural calamities and hazards, underscoring the resilience and adaptability required in public administration.
