Gurugram: Sai Ka Aangan in Gurugram today became the focal point of a grand and spiritually charged celebration as the sacred Shree Jagannath Rath Jatra unfolded, drawing devotees from across India and the globe.
The event was meticulously organized under the divine guidance of Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, a revered spiritual leader renowned for his humanitarian work and extensive efforts in promoting Sai Baba and Shree Jagannath culture worldwide.
The festivities commenced at 3:00 PM with the traditional ‘Pahandi’ (procession) of the deities. A highlight of the ceremony was the ‘Chhera Pahanra’ ritual, a symbolic act of humility and surrender, performed by Guruji himself.

The Rath Jatra attracted several prominent dignitaries, including the Governor of Haryana, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, who performed the ‘Aarti’ of the Rath. Also present was the Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Tribal Affairs, Shri Jual Oram. The international participation, with devotees traveling from the United States, UAE, Australia, and other countries, underscored the event’s global reach and spiritual significance.
Guruji Dr. Satpathy’s tireless dedication over three decades has been pivotal in spreading Jagannath consciousness globally. His past initiatives include organizing Rath Yatras in Noida (2018), Dallas and Nashville (2011), and Houston (2012), building on the foundation set by the first-ever Rath Yatra at Sai Ka Aangan in 2024.

This year’s Jatra featured the tallest Rath in the entire NCR region, standing impressively at 25 feet. The spiritual atmosphere was further enhanced by traditional Odia cultural performances, devotional music, and the distribution of ‘prasad’ specially prepared by traditional Odia cooks brought from Puri.
In the lead-up to the event, various educational and cultural programs were conducted to raise awareness about the rich spiritual heritage of Lord Jagannath and Odisha’s vibrant cultural traditions, said Sonali Sahu. Smt.Sahu is an ardent devotee of Sai Baba and Guruji.
The C. B. Satpathy Cultural Foundation and the management of Sai Ka Aangan expressed their profound gratitude to all dignitaries, media representatives, volunteers, and devotees whose collective presence and devotion ensured the Rath Jatra 2025 was a profoundly uplifting and culturally enriching experience, invoking the divine blessings of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.
