Bhubaneswar: The industrial landscape of Odisha is poised for significant growth, with the new BJP government proactively promoting investment and supporting industries, a shift from the previous regime, according to Rajib Sekhar Sahoo, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Odisha.
Addressing the Media, Shri Sahoo highlighted the renewed focus on the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which is expected to provide much-needed impetus to local entrepreneurs.
“The BJP Government has been proactively promoting investment and supporting Industries, which was lacking during earlier BJD Regime. Thrust on MSME will support local entrepreneurs,” Shri Sahoo stated, expressing considerable optimism.
Local entrepreneurs, who reportedly felt neglected in the past, now hold high expectations from the new administration. Shri Sahoo emphasized the critical need for “proactive support from Officers serving at grassroot level” to ensure these initiatives translate into tangible benefits on the ground.
He also commended the efforts of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, particularly his vision to transform Kalinganagar into a prominent “Industrial Hub.”
This commendation comes on the heels of a significant development on May 22, when the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for industrial projects totaling an impressive 1.15 Lakh Crore investment, signaling a strong commitment to industrial development in the state.
The collective sentiment points towards a promising era for industrial growth and entrepreneurial empowerment in Odisha.
