Bhubaneswar: For the first time, the Government of India has selected 30 State Civil Service Officers for India Administrative Service (IAS) Cadre.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has brought a notification to this effect today.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954 read with Regulation 9 (1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955 and Rule 3 of the Indian Administrative Service (Probation) Rules, 1954, the President is pleased to appoint the following members of the State Civil Service of Odisha to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by Government of India under Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for the year-wise Select Lists of 2023 and 2024 on probation until further orders and to allocate them to the Odisha Cadre, under, Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954,” the DoPT said in its notification.
The Officers who are promoted to IAS cadre against the vacancies arisen in the year 2023 are: Dharam Hansdah, Niyati Pattnaik, Maheswar Swain, Mrunal Kanti Das, Srikanta Tarai, Birendra Korkora, Laxman Kumar Mallik, Upama Kalo, Lily Kumari Kullu, Kabindra Kumar Sahoo, Aradhana Das, Pradeep Kumar Nayak, Madhusudan Dash and Premjit Nayak.
Similarly, another 15 State Civil Officers have been promoted against the vacancies created in last year (2024).
The Officers are—Narahari Sethy, Jugaleswari Dash, Madhumita Rath, Debasis Singh, Subrat Kumar Panda, Pratap Chandra Hota, Nibedita Mishra, Rega Geetarani Patnaik, Archana Das Pattanaik, Anjana Panda, Nivedita Prusty, Swayam Prava Mohanty, Indramani Nayak, Sudam Charan Mandal and Girish Chandra Singh
