Bhubaneswar: Odisha Congress has alleged that in the 8 months of BJP Rule in Odisha at least 1600 women have faced atrocities.
The Party alleged that currently, atrocities against women are increasing. It is seen that about 7 women are becoming victims of atrocities every day.

Therefore, considering the safety of women in the state, PCC President, Bhakta Charan Das has formed a fact-finding committee on behalf of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee to investigate every incident.
Former Minister Nagendra Pradhan is the chairman of the committee, while former MLA Sujit Padhi, MLA Sophia Firdosh, MLA Satyajit Gamang, AICC Women’s Congress Secretary Sasmita Behera, Congress leaders Manas Malik and Lipika Majhi are the prominent members.
The committee will soon visit various districts, inspect the incident sites, investigate the incident and provide detailed information to the PCC, OPCC Media Coordinator Deepak Kumar Mahapatra said in a press release.
