Cuttack: The MGM T 20 Championship 2025 concluded in a spectacular manner at the MGM School Of Sports, Kapursingh, Cuttack after four days of intense and thrilling cricket action.
Organized in collaboration with Coaching Beyond, the premier cricket institute founded by Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun, and R Sridhar, the tournament successfully provided a platform for emerging cricket talent and reinforced Odisha’s commitment to fostering the sport.
The championship witnessed participation from the MGM School of Sports and teams from the Coaching Beyond Cricket Excellence Centre in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Vadodara. The tournament showcased high-quality cricket, with players displaying skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout.
The tournament was inaugurated by Shri Shastri and Shri Arun and saw competitive matches between the participating teams.
The closing ceremony was graced by Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, CMD, MGM Group; Venkatapathy Raju, Former International Cricketer; Bikas Pradhan, Treasurer, OCA; Anjan Kumar Khuntia, Chief Curator, OCA; and Prasanta Dash, Advisor, MGM Group.
During the closing ceremony, Shri Raju presented the awards and praised the initiative, stating, “The MGM T20 Championship 2025 has set a benchmark in talent identification and player development. With the growing interest in cricket across India, events like these are crucial in identifying and nurturing new talent.”
MGM School of Sports-Coaching Beyond emerged as the champions, defeating Coaching Beyond Hyderabad in an exciting final. They scored 173 runs in 20 overs and bowled out their opponents completely, securing a decisive victory. The team also performed exceptionally well throughout the tournament, winning three out of four matches.
The Man of the Match trophy was awarded to Jayram Gediya (MGM School of Sports, Cuttack), while Ravi Teja (Coaching Beyond Hyderabad) was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance.
