Mantra For OAS Officers

Bhubaneswar: The Induction Training Program for the Odisha Administrative Service (Direct Recruitment-2022) and Promotee Recruitment (2020-24) batches was formally inaugurated by G. Mathi Vathanan, Director General Gopabandhu Academy of Administration(GAA).

The event marked the beginning of an intensive and transformative training program designed to equip Officer Trainees with essential administrative and governance skills. The induction training program, comprised of various modules, with in-house academic sessions as well as off-campus learning activities, will continue for 22 and 10 weeks for OAS (DR -2022) and (DR -20-24) batches respectively.

Shri Mathi Vathanan, in his motivational address, emphasized the importance of inclusiveness, citizen sensitivity, and good governance. He inspired the Officer Trainees to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in public service. He urged the Officer Trainees to develop positive attitude to climb highest possible altitude in their respective personal as well professional lives. He suggested Officer Trainees to remain mentally and physically fit.

He emphasized on overall personality development of the trainees. His insightful and thought-provoking deliberations provided valuable guidance to the trainees. The participatory training, as designed specially for both the groups of Officer Trainees, would provide a life-long learning experience, blending academic importance with practical administrative exposure. He assured the Trainees the best possible training related supports from the Academy.

Lala Manoj Kumar Ray, Deputy Director General GAA welcomed the Officer Trainees at the outset and briefed them about the various training programs of the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration. He drew an outline of the structure of the induction training program. He also coordinated the effective organization of the event.

Additional Director, Monalisa Lenka, who is also the Course Director for the OAS (DR-2022) batch, elaborated on the structured training curriculum tailored for the Officer Trainees, highlighting the various components of the in-house academic sessions based on the curated course syllabus as well as outdoor activities programmed for them, within and outside the State. She elaborated on the training course design, ensuring a well-rounded comprehensive adult learning approach.

Shashank Grahacharjya, Director, Centre for Good Governance, Odisha (CGGO) briefly mentioned about the academic sessions as well off-campus learning activities, and their assessment strategies as well as module-based evaluation criteria. He mentioned about the regular feedback mechanism too.

Debakalyan Behera, Joint Director (Accounts) extended a formal vote of thanks. Officials of the Gopabandhu Academy of Administration and Team CGGO were also present in the event.
