Ease In Srimandir Darshan

Puri: Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Pahee said that to further smoothen the public darshan system in Puri Srimandir, it has been decided to implement some new majors with effect from New Year.

As per a decision taken at the Temple Managing Committee and Chatisha Nijog, a wooden barricading system will be erected at Nata Mandap inside the temple.

A four inch width wooden platform will also be put in place on the floor of Nata Mandap so that devotees can have a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra from there, said SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Padhee.

The wooden platform will be made in such a way that it can be removed to carry out necessary rituals at the Natamandap, he said.

Dr Padhee said the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) has been asked to execute the work before the New Year, he said.

Similarly, special arrangements will be made for senior citizens, children, women and disabled persons for their smooth darshan inside the temple, he informed.
