Puri: Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Pahee said that to further smoothen the public darshan system in Puri Srimandir, it has been decided to implement some new majors with effect from New Year.
As per a decision taken at the Temple Managing Committee and Chatisha Nijog, a wooden barricading system will be erected at Nata Mandap inside the temple.
A four inch width wooden platform will also be put in place on the floor of Nata Mandap so that devotees can have a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra from there, said SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Padhee.
The wooden platform will be made in such a way that it can be removed to carry out necessary rituals at the Natamandap, he said.
Dr Padhee said the Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) has been asked to execute the work before the New Year, he said.
Similarly, special arrangements will be made for senior citizens, children, women and disabled persons for their smooth darshan inside the temple, he informed.
Dr.Padhee is charting out several reforms inside the 12th Century Shrine after he took over as SJTA Chief for the second time.
An ardent devotee of Lord Jagannatha, Dr.Padhee is concerned about the devotees and Ease of Darshan of Trinity.
And he is taking pro-active steps in this regard, said a former SJTA Chief.
The SJTA Chief said the ASI has been conducting the Ratna Bhandar repair work and they have been provided with ID cards to enter into the Bhandar.
