Bhubaneswar: The BJP government in Odisha is performing well and will continue to rule the State for next 50 years, claimed senior BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
While speaking to media persons here at Puri, Shri Sarma said the Biju Janata Dal (BJD)’s time period ended and the BJP will continue to rule in the State for 50 years.
Similarly, veteran BJP leader and senior MLA Jayanarayan Mishra today said the BJD should continue to exist for many years and face humiliation.
Speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar, the Saffron Veteran said he does not want BJD to be finished completely. “I don’t want to kill the enemy. One needs both friends as well as enemies. BJP does not want to end BJD,” he said.
“When the BJD leaders aren’t able to see any future in their party, they are jumping ship to the BJP quite naturally. They should try to stop it. Let there be some people with them. I will feel bad if the party (BJD) disintegrates completely. Let the party exist and live long. Let them be humiliated,” Mishra said while making a mockery of the BJD
The moment BJP blows the whistle, BJD will be completely disintegrated. There will not be a single man left in BJD. Even Naveen Patnaik will also join the BJP, he claimed.
“If any BJD leader wants to join BJP, they are most welcome,” the senior BJP Lawmaker said.
Speculation is rife that many leaders from the Opposition party in Odisha are in line to jump ship soon. To clear the air, BJD’s Rajya Sabha MPs held a press conference in Delhi to claim that they are in BJD and not going to leave it.
