Puri: Chief Administrator Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Dr.Arabinda Kumar Padhee has said that “Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has received the Ratna Bhandar’s GPR-GPS Survey Report.
Earlier Chief Administrator Dr.Padhee requested ASI to conduct the survey of Ratna Bhandar of Srimandir on top priority basis.
The GPR-GPS Survey of the Shree Jagannath Temple’ Ratna Bhandar was conducted by the ASI with the assistance of Hyderabad-based NGRI (National Geophysical Research Institute).
The first round of the survey was held on September 18, when a 17-member technical team of ASI led by its Additional Director General Jahnavij Sharma conducted the preliminary inspection of Ratna Bhandar and its laser scanning in the presence of SJTA Chief Dr.Padhee.
The ASI team also comprised experts from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI).
Later the Team meticulously conducted ground to ground-penetrating radar survey inside the Ratna Bhandar.
In fact, SJTA Chief Dr.Padhee has always been concerned about the stability and security of the Twelfth Century Shrine.
Dr.Padhee said as ASI Reoprt has been received, the SJTA has requested the ASI authorities to immediately take up the repair, maintenance and conservation work of the Ratna Bhandar.
Dr.Padhee assured that the Temple Administration will extend all sorts of cooperation in the assignment of ASI.
SJTA Chief has also informed the State Government about the developments and receiving of ASI Report, said sources.
