Bhubaneswar: The Border Security Force(BSF) is committed to eradicate Naxalism from Odisha by 2026. Inspector General of Police C D Agarwal said the BSF was working in this direction on the call of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Shri Agrawal said that the Border Security Force (BSF) is working with dedication for the protection of life and property in the Naxal-infested areas of Odisha. He said this at a press conference today on the achievements of BSF.
“The BSF has eliminated three notorious Naxals this year. It also forced 24 hardcore Naxals to surrender . In the search operation, 34 IDDs, 117 grenades and a large quantity of arms and ammunition were seized .
With the help of BSF, isolated areas of Malkangiri district are now connected to the mainstream of the state . The Gurupriya Setu has benefited 31,000 residents of 151 villages . “On the call of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BSF is committed to eradicate Naxalism from Odisha by 2026.
