Baku: Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Odisha’s Agriculture Secretary, is making waves at the COP 29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, showcasing the state’s innovative regenerative and resilient agriculture practices.
As a panelist in sessions organized by World Without Hunger and the Food and Agriculture Organization, he’s highlighting Odisha’s success stories and presenting a framework for integrating food systems during the NDC 3.0 process.
This isn’t Dr. Padhee’s first time on the global stage. He attended COP 28 in Dubai last year as part of the Indian delegation and was a speaker at the India Pavilion.
Earlier this year, he delivered a keynote lecture at Cambridge University on food systems transformation in a changing climate and evidence-based policy making.
Dr. Padhee’s expertise in promoting farmer-friendly, ecological approaches to agricultural development in Odisha is well-known.
His participation in global events sheds light on the good agricultural practices implemented by the department of agriculture and farmers’ empowerment.
