The deceased woman was identified as Jita Majhi (40), who was suffering from multi organ failure, including kidney ailments.

She was first admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. Later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack on November 2 night after her health deteriorated, officials said.

She was undergoing treatment in the SCB Hospital for 16 days and in the ventilator support for the last 12 days and died on Monday, despite all efforts of the doctors, they said.
