New Delhi: In 2036, we will celebrate the centenary of the formation of a separate State of Odisha and in 2047, the centenary of independence will also be celebrated all over India. These two historic events have brought us unparalleled opportunities to accelerate the growth of our State,” said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida while inaugurating the grand pavilion of The Odisha Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair-2024 this afternoon.
She informed about the state government’s commitment towards the development of Odisha by 2036.
Citing the example of women empowerment in Odisha, the Deputy Chief Minister Shrimati Parida said that the state is path-breaking towards the overall development of Odisha under the successful and strong leadership of hon’ble Chief Minister for the upliftment of rural mothers, development of artisans and upliftment of agriculturists.
Smt. Parida said that this is a glimpse of a developed Odisha under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister for a developed India @2047 in the coming days and sought everyone’s cooperation in this regard.
Under the aegis of the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Odisha, the pavilion reflects the image of Odisha’s art culture, tribal life, agriculture, handloom, handicrafts, small scale industries, bullet trains, tourism, environmental protection and overall development of the state.
At the same time, the role of mangroveforests in environmental protection and climate change preparedness schemes of the Government of Odisha, including the Odisha Government’s environment protection and climate change preparedness, and the use of tidal energy and the process of converting the alkali water of the sea into fresh water, enhance the beauty of the pavilion and reflect Odisha’s commitment to environmental and coastal protection.12 different departments and organisations have participated in the 25 stalls of this pavilion this year.
In the stall held, there is a glimpse of rural products made by Ormas, Government of Odisha, various types of household items made by Mission Shakti mothers, handlooms, textiles and handicraft items, tourism landscape of Odisha, tribal life of Odisha, MSME, agricultural products. Further, with a view to enhance trade and commerce in the state at the domestic and international level, a platform has been arranged for business discussions.
