Bhubaneswar: In a major move to promote Odia Ashmita, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today announced a monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000 for all Padma awardees of the State.
The Chief Minister has taken the decision today to honour the distinguished personalities from Odisha.
With this decision, all 55 living Padma awardees of the State will get honorarium of Rs 30,000 per month.
For this, an expenditure of Rs 2 crore will be incurred annually by the State Government.
