Gurugram: Chhath Puja, one of the most revered festivals for devotees from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, is being celebrated with devotion and grandeur at Sai Ka Aangan in Gurgaon.
This four-day festival dedicated to the Sun God includes various rituals observed by fasting devotees who seek blessings for health, prosperity, and well-being.
At the request of devotees, Guruji Chandra Bhanu Satpathy initiated the Chhath Puja celebrations at Sai Ka Aangan for the first time this year.
The highlight of the event was the “Sandhya Arghya” or evening offering to the setting Sun, observed yesterday on the third day of the festival. The venue witnessed enthusiastic participation from many devotees hailing from UP and Bihar, adding to the vibrancy and sanctity of the celebrations.
The festival will conclude tomorrow with the “Usha Arghya” or morning offering to the rising Sun, marking the end of this holy observance. Devotees eagerly anticipate this moment to complete their rituals, offering prayers and gratitude to the Sun God at sunrise.
Chhath Puja has gained a special place in Gurgaon with such events, enabling devotees to participate in their cultural traditions and make heartfelt offerings far from their native states.
