Odisha’s Robust Outreach In WTM

London: Odisha Tourism’s delegation at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London continued its robust outreach on Day Two, focusing to expand reach in the international tourism market.

Deputy Chief Minister met Consulate General of India at Edinburgh, Odia Diaspora and prospective tourism investors Scotland and had insightful discussions on ways to promote Odisha Tourism in Scotland and scope of future collaborations with the leading universities in various sectors including sports, health and education.

Another delegation of Senior Officials visited Stonehenge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site to understand details on heritage conservation and curation of tourism amenities and its operational modalities. The officials engaged in targeted Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-toBusiness (B2B) meetings at the Odisha pavilion, connecting with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and renowned tour operators aiming to strengthen global tourism ties.

Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Secretary Tourism, Balwant Singh, Director Tourism, Samarth Verma have been actively presenting unique products of Odisha Tourism in WTM.

 The delegation held meetings with Expedia, DFC Media, India Assist, Aviareps, Travel Turtle, MGYPSEA, Carey Tourism, Market Lead, Nature Trek, Travel and Tour World (TTW), International Wellness Tourism Expo (IWT), Conga, RBT Adventures, Exodus Travels, Talaria Resorts and Spa, Travel Star Holidays, Madagascar Treasure Island, MMCO World, Venki Travel, Cityrise Tours, Hays Travel, One Stop Travel and Tours, Theatrotechnis, London Lights, The Ultimate Travel Company, TravelSmart.in, DDP Publications and Sharjah Airport Travel Agency.

The discussions focused on state’s unique cultural heritage, natural beauty, and diverse tourism offerings in discussions with key industry players. These meetings aimed to drive tourism growth by showcasing Odisha’s commitment to sustainable and authentic travel experiences. The Odisha delegation also took part in press interactions, sharing insights with international media on recent developments and future initiatives to enhance the visitor experience. This session provided a platform for Odisha Tourism to outline its vision for responsible tourism, capturing global interest in the state’s rich traditions and ecological diversity. The day’s activities concluded with the delegation attending the India Tourism Evening at the historic Cutty Sark, where representatives connected with industry leaders in an exclusive networking environment.
