Balangir Royals Celebrate Nuakhai

Balangir: Setting aside their political differences, Members of Royal Family of Balangir came together at Sailashree Palace here today to celebrate Nuakhai, the biggest agrarian festival of Western Odisha.

BJD Veteran Ananga Uday Singh Deo, MP Kalikesh Singh Deo along with his wife Meghna Singh Deo , daughter Amaira Singh Deo, brother Manmath Vijay Singh Deo and Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and his wife MP Sangeeta Singh Deo offered prayers together took Nabanna and celebrated Nuakhai inside the Balangir Royal palace in a traditional favour.

KV is AU’s elder brother late Raj Raj Singh Deo’s son; both are two political heavyweights of Odisha. While KV is the Deputy CM and Sangeeta, Bolangir MP, are in BJP, AU and his son, Kalikesh are in BJD. Kalikesh is Lawmaker from Balangir Assembly. Manmath is a Hospitality Sector Heavyweight. Meghna is a visionary Education Sector Promoter.

The Nuakhai Get-together of the Royal Family once again proved that all the members of the Royal Family are together, even though they belong to different political affiliations.

Moreover, the tall leaders from Western Odisha are also working with the same motto that is development of the state and its people especially those from Western Odisha. This meet also reflects the beauty of Indian Democracy, observes a veteran political analyst.

 Talking to media persons, DCM, K V Singh Deo said, “We celebrate Nuakhai with family not with government or political affiliation. Like every year, we celebrated the festival with our family members.”

Kalikesh Singh Deo echoed his cousin’s feeling in a similar vein, emphasizing that the celebration of Nuakhai is a deeply personal and familial occasion rather than a political event.

Manmath Vijay Singh Deo highlighted the importance of keeping the festival centered around family traditions.

A U Singh Deo was very happy for Nuakhai Bhetghat and appreciated the efforts of K V Singh Deo in this regard.

Locals feel happy that they once again got a chance to see the Royal Family members join together on an occasion of great importance.
